Lisa performs for the love of and expression of music as an art. She is truely a rare and wonderful artist. Their diverse musical backgrounds and combined Nashville experience created a unique and refreshing sound and style, often described as American Roots Music.

Whether Lisa and Chris perform as a duet, or with a band... Grande Ole Opry Stage or Corner Cafe, their audience is left with an unforgettable musical experience. Their raw edge and soulful acoustic sound, steeped in rich vocal harmonies and instrumentation, they embrace each song and captivate the listener.

About Musicafé Rock School

When Chris and Lisa started the Rock School, their intent was clear: Give others an engaging place where they can learn and experience onstage music performance and have a blast doing it.

Our Purpose

Band Classes Every Rock School session, called a "Rockmester," begins with band formation. Each group is formed according to musical ability and stage experience. Some bands are remixed each session, while others may stay together longer.

Rock School places an emphasis on developing and growing performance skills. This requires teamwork, individual dedication and practice, practice, practice.

Most bands get together for a two-hour rehearsal on one night each week. Days off typically follow the Corvallis School District calendar.

Each rockmester culminates in a live public performance. With this end in mind, each band quickly comes together with a clear mission to put on the best show they can.

Rockers of All Ages Just because it's "school" doesn't mean it's just for kids. The Rock School regularly forms adult bands comprised of all skill levels from beginners to life-long musicians.

Summer Camps Each summer, Musicafé Rock School offers kids 7-17 a unique band experience in several one-week sessions. For each session, bands are formed to age and ability: Ages 7-12 in Junior Rock Band Camps and Ages 13-17 in Teen Rock Band camps.

The camp bands meet for about a half day, every day for a week. The transformation is amazing. By the end of the week, each band is ready for a public performance. All of the bands for each session come together on Friday evening (sometimes Saturday) to put on a free concert.

The weekly camp band concerts are free to the public. Family, friends and neighbors are encouraged to come and cheer for their young rockers.
